Foster · Puerto Rico

Open your home for a few weeks.

Fosters are the reason we can say yes to one more dog or cat. We cover the vet, the food and the supplies. You give them a safe place to land until their forever home comes through.

How it works

From application to goodbye

  1. 1
    Today · 5 minutes

    Fill out the form

A few questions about your home, your schedule and what kind of animal works for you.

  2. 2
    Within a few days

    We talk

We call or WhatsApp you, answer your questions, and take a look at your space (in person or by video).

  3. 3
    When there's a good match

    We match you

We pick a dog or cat that fits your home — size, energy, other pets and kids.

  4. 4
    Pick-up day

    They arrive with everything

Food, a crate or bed, any medicine, and their vet records.

  5. 5
    Usually 2 to 8 weeks

You care for them and send photos

Daily care, love, and a few photos or videos a week — that's how they get adopted. We schedule and pay for vet visits.

  6. 6
    When their home comes through

    The hand-off

We arrange the hand-off to the adopter, or to the airport if they're flying to a partner rescue in the States. Then, if you want, we bring you the next one.
